26 May Neighbors to Nicaragua
Neighbors to Nicaragua supports youth and their families in one of that nation’s poorest areas. It works to alleviate homelessness, hunger and illiteracy. Centro de Oportunidad offers literacy programs, computer skills and English classes in Pantanal barrio, as well as a nutritious home-prepared meal daily for its 72 students. Although the focus is education, Neighbors to Nicaragua knows it must meet other needs for the families to become self-sustaining.
