Mission: To raise awareness about the disease of addiction. Through educating communities, assisting families in their quest for information and supporting those in recovery, atTAcK addiction seeks to remove the stigma of addiction by effecting positive change in Delaware.

One glaring issue that we must talk about is drug abuse and overdose.

• In 2017, 345 people died from overdoses in Delaware, up 12 percent from the 308 people who died in 2016.
• Among the more than 72,000 drug overdose deaths estimated in 2017 in the United States, deaths related to fentanyl and synthetic opioids marked the sharpest increase, reaching nearly 30,000.
• Internationally, death due to opiate/heroin overdose is the leading cause of death under age 50.
